Our first full day in Aruba
was packed with action. After a quick breakfast,
we journeyed down to the beach where we found Jen,
Ron, and Ty happily playing in the sand. We joined
them and built sand castles and ran Ty's truck up
and down for quite awhile.
The wind on the beach was fierce and would consistently blow our chairs and sand toys and inflated tubes into the ocean. If you were facing the wrong way,
you would get sandblasted - literally. Everyone took a break for lunch and Howard went to arrange his dives.
The lunch break afforded a welcome respite from
the gusting winds. Later that afternoon, we all
met up with Jen, Ron, and Ty and spent some time
at the pool. When Ty started to get cold, we moved
to the pool restaurant so that everyone could partake
of happy hour. Ty's choice was to play with straws
and took a special delight in pushing mixing straws
into regular straws.
It was a quiet evening because Ty was still adjusting to travel and Aruba. |
