We decided to sleep in because yesterday was a travel day. We wanted to stretch our legs, so we went over to the National
Park office in Cruz Bay to find a short hike. We settled on the Lind Point Trail that takes you up to an overlook of Cruz Bay then on to Solomon Bay,
Honeymoon Bay, and Caneel Bay.
It was already hot at 9am, but we hit the trail.
We were enveloped by cactus and small indigenous
trees as we followed the winding dirt track. We
elected to stop at Honeymoon Beach. It is a very
pretty beach and we only had to share it with a
few other people.
After dipping our toes, we continued to Caneel Bay. We wandered the resort and then turned back towards Cruz Bay. We were pretty hot and hungry at
that point, so we came back to our villa and had some lunch. We stayed out of the sun for a while and then did some kayaking in the bay.
Dinner was at Morgan's Mango. Howard had tilapia with a lemon, soy, ginger sauce. Kirsten had the seafood brochette. We capped it off with a
slice of multi-layered chocolate cake. Fantastic! |
